MEET JENN PUJA
Jenn Puja is a lifelong advocate, a community connector, and a proud Westchester native. Raised in West Harrison (Silver Lake), Jenn grew up surrounded by a deep sense of community. The daughter of former Fire Chief Pat Galluzzo, she was immersed early in public service, volunteering at local events and cherishing the ties that made Silver Lake feel like home. Today, Jenn continues these traditions with her husband and two young children, finding joy in neighborhood activities like concerts on the green, trips to the library, and favorite meals at local small businesses. She also embraces the vibrant cultures of White Plains and Scarsdale alongside her roots in Silver Lake. As an active PTA parent and class mom in White Plains, Jenn engages directly in her children’s education and school community. In Scarsdale, she fosters growth and community through her involvement with her Girl Scout troop, and organizes local service projects. Whether advocating for local businesses, representing workers, or participating in events that uplift her neighborhoods, Jenn’s deep connection to these communities is evident in every aspect of her life.

Jenn’s commitment to public service shines in her leadership roles. As the youngest woman elected to the White Plains Common Council, she’s tackled critical issues like affordable housing, sustainability, and prioritizing community benefits. Her work as Chair of the Recreation Advisory Committee and as an Advisory Board Member for Mount Sinai’s Selikoff Center for Occupational Health underscores her dedication to creating a healthier, more vibrant community for all with expanded access and added opportunities.
Professionally, Jenn serves as Executive Director of the Westchester/Putnam Central Labor Body AFL-CIO, representing over 100,000 working families. Through partnerships with community, religious, and social justice organizations, she has championed efforts to uplift those in need and protect workers’ rights. Her contributions have earned her accolades such as City & State’s 40 Under 40 and Mount Sinai’s Person of the Year Award.

A summa cum laude graduate of Iona College and Long Island University, Jenn brings passion, knowledge, and a collaborative spirit to everything she does. Whether on the picket line, in council chambers, or at community events, she remains steadfast in her mission to build a Westchester where everyone can thrive.
WHY I'M RUNNING
I am running for Westchester County Legislator, District 5, because I believe in the power of community and the importance of accessible, inclusive leadership. From White Plains to West Harrison and Scarsdale, this district embodies the best of Westchester: vibrant neighborhoods, diverse voices, and incredible potential.

As a member of the Westchester County Board of Legislators Labor and Human Rights Committee since 2018, I advocated to help pass impactful legislation like the Earned Sick Leave law, the Wage Theft (No Pay, No Way) Bill, the Immigration Protection Act, and the Displaced Worker Act. These achievements remind me that when we prioritize people and work together, we can create meaningful change.
I’m proud to call Westchester my home and to raise my two children in a community that values connection and opportunity. From my childhood in Silver Lake to serving as the youngest woman elected to the White Plains Common Council, public service has been my calling. As your legislator, I’ll continue fighting for affordable housing, workforce stabilization, sustainability, and expanded mental health resources while ensuring that all voices in our district are heard.

This campaign is about grace, grit, and grassroots efforts. Together, we can create a stronger, more equitable district. I invite you to join me in this journey to make Westchester an even better place to live, work, and thrive.
